This is one of my favorite non-profit organizations. They are generally out to stop all injustices due to racial prejudice. This group is the KKK's worst enemy and I'm proud to be a member.

Here's some of my own personal work, enjoy!

I'm a truck driver, haven't you heard
I don't cut my hair, or shave my beard.
I drive all over, from town to town
And everywhere I go, I'm acting like a clown.
You might've seen me, going down your road
Searching for somewhere, to deliver my load.
While driving along, I'm barely adorned
In shorts and a t-shirt, ignoring all scorn.
Most of the time I'm singing, as loud as I can
While my left arm is working, on a really nice tan.
If you didn't know better, you'd think I was on drugs
But what really gets me off, is as simple as some hugs.
I gaze out my window, with a child-like joy
The whole world for me, is like a big toy.
If you really want to know, what keeps me all smiles
You're welcome to join me, across the endless miles.

Prejudice is a trait that I've never come to understand
Just because people are different, the hatred is fanned
Most claim it's skin color, or belief in a God,
Or the income they bring home, well I find it quite odd
The reasons for prejudice, well there are only three
Ignorance, stupidity, and nothing else - when will we all see.

The Karaoke Kid

When I get rid of my load
I can come in off the road
And go in town to do my thing
Which is, if you didn't know, to sing
Now usually I get my fix
And hopefully get in some kicks
As I belt out some rock-n-roll
With a lot of oomph, and a little soul
To try and get the crowd to rise
Or sometimes have to dry their eyes
Now, even if I'm "off" one night
And give all of the drunks a nasty fright
To make them all go home and pray
That I won't be back another day
You can bet that I won't care
Because I know that it is rare
You see, mostly I just entertain
And make them think that I'm insane
Yes, I'm just out to have some fun
And my small moment in the sun.
I'm not in it for the fame
No, that's not why I came
I'm not trying to make some money
Or even to meet some little honey
All I really want to bring
Is smiles to their faces, that's why I sing.

Highway To Heaven

I'm cruising along, singing a song
Not knowing which way I should go
When off to my right, I saw such a sight
What it was I just didn't know
It looked like that bird, had not gotten the word
From any one of it's friends
That trying to glide, right into the side
Of a truck is no means to an end
Now back to the present, there is no more pheasant
For me to fear anymore
Because under that moon, it came to it's doom
Without leaving a mark on my door

A Dispatcher's Thank You

Thank you for sending me, to where I wanted to go
It proves to me, once again, that you're no average joe
You always find a load for me, without wasting any time
If it wasn't for the work you do, I wouldn't make a dime
We drivers always forget to thank you, for how you help us out
But as far as what you mean to us, there really is no doubt
You're always able to get us home, or wherever we might want to be
I'd write a longer poem for you, but right now I've got to p.

While on my way to make my drop
I got pulled over by a cop
He asked if I knew how fast I was going
And if I had thought I was driving a Boeing
I told him that I didn't know of my speed
Because, at the time, I was trying to read
At this point he began to write me a ticket
And I told him exactly right where he could stick it
I could tell by his face that he was quite irate
And thought that my comment had surely sealed my fate
He looked at the ground and counted to ten
To stay out of trouble, I had to act then
He loosened his holster and I thought I was dead
But when he looked up, he saw on my head
My moo-d hat, with ears, horns, and a tail
A smile crossed his face and he forgot about jail
The moral to this story, if you didn't know by now
Is to never underestimate the effect of a cow

Happy Birthday Brother

Happy birthday to you, dear brother of mine
It's hard to believe we've made it through 28 years
And although not everything went according to design
Looking back on it all, there's no reason to shed tears
Throughout our lives, we've been more than just brothers
As we've had our fun, in many a different town
But I can tell you sincerely, without the opinion of others
That now that the football season is coming, you're going down.

A Boss' Christmas Card

Thank you for sending me to spend Christmas with my mother
I'll even get to spend some time with mt sister and my brother
I know it's not the easiest time of year to get me there
But the effort you put into it, shows just how much you care
We've been together almost a year, and most of it went well
Although there were a couple of times when everything turned to hell
We've learned, and grown, and persevered through the roughest of those times
So I thought you might be overdue for another of my rhymes
Many times you've chastised me, for no reason I could see
But whenever I made a big mistake, you chose to stand by me
I'm not so blind that I can't see who's really on my side
And though not everything has been perfect, I know how hard you tried
Thank you too for putting up with my hours, my jokes, and my clothes
At least I don't deliver my loads dressed in high heels and panty hose
Next year should be even better for us all (This is what I call my motto)
We'll stick together through thick and thin (or until I win the lotto)
Most of all I want to thank you for sharing your life with me this year
And wish you a merry christmas filled with the dreams you hold most dear.
